The Rockford Area Arts Commission meets on the fourth Monday of every month at 7:00 pm at the Rockford City Offices (7 North Monroe in Downtown Rockford). The public is invited to attend.

The Rockford area is home to The Rogue River Blues Series, an annual summer concert series. Entering its 10th year, the Rogue River Blues Series showcases local jazz, blues, and folk music artists.

Situated on the banks of the scenic Rogue River in the Garden Club Park, the Rogue River Blues Series runs every Tuesday evening from June to August and is free to the public, so bring a blanket and come to the park to enjoy great blues music with your neighbors.

In the case of inclement weather, the event will take place in the Rotary Pavilion. The Rogue River Blues Series is brought to you by Huntington Bank.

Classes in Visual Arts and Performing Arts (K-12th) Grades boys and girls, teens.

This is our 10th Summer for this wonderful camp! Students  get to sing, dance, act, learn about music , create works of art and crafts – plus perform in our “Showcase” on Friday, July 15th in the auditorium at the North Rockford Middle School.

Summer Art Camp runs from (9am-3pm), Monday -Friday. Lunch in cafeteria at noon (brown bag).

Cost:

• $100 for the week
• $85 for the week for a sibling from same family.

This fee includes a Tee-shirt and art supplies.

Rogue River Artist’s annual Garden Art Sale will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2013.

The artists will spread through the lovely gardens of Rogue River Artist Association member Shirley Dean at 9620 Summit Ave. NE., Rockford from 10:00am to 4:00pm.

Come join us! Art from all of the members will be available for purchase at this annual fun summer event!
